How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before

Thanks for your interest in volunteering at HealthyPlanet
Those of us who volunteer with HealthyPlanet
consider our work with this group to be an honor and a unique opportunity to truly make a difference in the world in which we live. We are committed to doing our part to help create a cleaner, healthier and more compassionate world — where people understand the implications of the daily choices they make. Our Board is energized to do the work that it takes to make this dream a reality. That means that we have a plan and that each Board and Core Group member is committed to doing their part to turn that plan into action. We need you to enable us to continuously expand our vision of what is possible.
Past the beggar and the suffering walk he who asks,
'Why, oh God, do you not do something for these people?'
To which God replied, 'I did do something, I made you.'
— Old Sufi Saying
We know that an educated public is more conscious of their choices and in turn, better able to make intelligent choices that more accurately reflect the potential for greatness that exists in each of us and in society as a whole.
Very few people would knowingly make choices in their lives that added to ill health in children, world hunger or pollution of our precious waters. And yet, by being unaware of the powerful link between our lifestyle choices and these problems, even the best of us might end up making decisions that create such negative outcomes.
Instead of resorting to complaining and cynicism, we are empowered to take action to create the world we know is possible.
I wondered why somebody didn't do something.
Then I realized, I am somebody.

We're much more powerful when we work together. Our goal is to have as many people as possible be creatively involved in a position which involves duties which they truly enjoy performing.
We need individuals who can take full responsibility for the area which they choose to undertake. One additional coordinator is priceless to our total effort.
Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing
because he could only do a little.
— Edmund Burke
Our success in the community over all these years is attributable to the time and effort contributed by concerned people, like yourself. If you'd like to join us in creating a cleaner, kinder and healthier world, consider donating some of your time. We have programs in place that are just waiting for your special talent to make them even more effective. You will be surprised at how much of a difference one individual can make when joining with an established, existing group of motivated people. And that's what HealthyPlanet
You'll also be pleased by the satisfaction you get in return for your efforts. And who says volunteering has to be unpleasant? We love our work and so enjoy working together. Some studies have found that volunteers actually live longer!
We currently have a wide range of positions available from events coordination to video production, help with tabling, phone calling, office help and much more. If you are interested in getting involved in any way, please call or e-mail us and we'll talk about how we will create greater results together.
Check out the brief descriptions below to see if anything strikes your interest. Don't worry about whether or not you have the exact skills — what matters most is a desire to make a difference, and the knowledge that your actions will benefit all life on Earth.
For the purposes of this form, please mark ALL volunteer positions you may be interested in (and would have fun doing!). A volunteer will contact you afterwards to see what you might be interested in giving a try and to narrow the field by determining what would best meet our needs for the coming year. Any training needed will be provided.
Thank you for who you are, what you do and for your desire to join us in our vision of a world that we can be proud of having created!
Whether you think you can or think you can't — you are right.

He who does nothing for others does nothing for himself.
It is in giving oneself that one receives.
